Angel
Michaelmas Cay, on the Great Barrier Reef, is a wonderful place to visit. The day that I visited, there would have been about 50,000 birds nesting there. Looking closely on the left it is possible to see some eggs. I also witnessed young chicks huddling beneath their mothers' wings. On this morning there was an easterly wind causing many of the birds to remain in flight. The sounds of the birds' squawking was almost deafening. This frame was the only one like it with a bird slowing to brake, its wings uplifted like an angel.
