Violet Ayers
Australia's great natural symbol, Ayers Rock (Uluru), is a giant, monolithic rock standing alone in the vast deserts of Central Australia. Captured in a brilliant winter light, the richness of the reds are shown to their fullest extent. I spent almost a week photographing Ayers Rock and the Olgas. Of all the days I was there, I was very fortunate the day I photographed 'Violet Ayers'. Although it is a most inspiring location, no photograph can truly capture the grandeur of the area compared with seeing it in real life.
